Lapochka Stormfly

Astrid is our homebred girl, and we have loved watching her grow from her very first breath.

She is one of those dogs who always seems to be happy. She can spend the morning working cattle, come inside and curl up on the sofa, or simply sit beside you and be perfectly content. She loves being with us and takes everything in her stride.

She is extremely intelligent, beautiful and has a personality all of her own. But it is when Astrid walks into the show ring that you really see another side of her. From the moment she enters, she knows exactly what she is there to do. She carries herself with such confidence and presence that you simply cannot miss her — she really does own the ring.

Her show career is still young, but she has already achieved Best of Breed and Runner-Up Best of Breed. At a Border Collie Specialty, she won Puppy Class, competing against both dogs and bitches, and at the Sydney Royal Easter Show she placed second in Puppy Bitch Class.

Astrid has some wonderful dogs behind her in her pedigree, and we see so much of them in her. At the same time, she is very much her own girl, and that is what makes watching her develop so exciting.

She is a very special part of our future at Lapochka, and after watching her come this far, I cannot wait to see what this girl will achieve next.

Health

Astrid has been DNA tested through MyDogDNA and is clear of the hereditary diseases included in her testing.
